Sapphire

Sapphire is an often-requested crystal here at the New Age Center, and we’re so excited that we finally have some in stock!  Many folks are familiar with Sapphire as precious gemstone, but there’s no need to spend tons of money to experience the metaphysical benefits of this wonderful stone – the common variety is just as magical!

There are a plethora of myths and legends form many cultures regarding the power and usage of sapphire – from Abrham and Solomon, to Apollo and the Oracle at Delphi and more. It’s obvious that sapphire has been regarded as a powerful and spiritual stone for millennia.

Each color of sapphire has unique properties. Ruby is actually a variety of sapphire as well, although it’s the only variety with a unique name. The rest are simply called by their color - blue sapphire, black sapphire, yellow sapphire, etc. The sapphire stone chips we have in stock are mostly blue, but if there’s slight color variations, don’t worry – it’s still sapphire!

In general, sapphire is known as the “Wisdom Stone.”  It is said to help calm the mind, bring focus, and release unwanted thoughts and mental tension. It is said to be excellent for alleviating spiritual confusion, releasing frustration, and promoting self-expression.

Blue Sapphire specifically is associated with spiritual development and seeking our spiritual truth. It is also believed to be a transmuter of negative energy, as well as a tool for channeling Reiki, healing, and messages.

The small chips we offer are a beautiful way to utilize this stone – Sapphire would be a fantastic addition to crystal grids intended for any spiritual or healing purpose, as well as a potent power-up for spell jars and bags.
